Co-curricular activities-
Faculty Development Activities:
GCCN is always concerned about development of its faculty by providing different trainings on research methodology, teachers’ development training, leadership and management training, improving computer skills and so on. This college also provides some opportunities to attend foreign workshops and seminars. Also some of the faculties are sent abroad to complete their Masters and Ph. D degree in the UK, Japan and USA.
Seminar/Workshop:
Regular seminars and workshops are held to enhance the knowledge and skill of both students and teachers. Often resource persons from outside are invited to conduct workshops on various issues related to teaching and learning activities in nursing.
Debating:
To develop critical thinking and analytical skills of the students, an annual debate competition is held on major and current issues. Students conduct the debate in English and participate spontaneously. Experienced teachers help the students in preparing for the presentation.
Joining One Young Summit:
Students and faculty members regularly join the International One Young Summit. The summit is designed for the youth and enables the students to connect with young leaders across the world.
Extracurricular activities-
Picnic/Away day:
Every year during winter, college picnics are held with a view to refresh, entertain and reenergize. Staffs and students take part in various fun activities during the picnic. There is also an Away Day for the staff to get away from day to day work and take time to recuperate for future contribution to the college development. There are numerous team building activities conducted during the Away Day.
Graduation program:
Every year a grand graduation program is held for the graduates offering successful passing out from respective courses. This graduation program is very special and memorable for the graduates as it turns a new chapter in their life.
Observing national and international days:
GCCN ceremoniously observes various National and International days such as, Independence Day, Victory Day, International Mother Language day, Nurses Day, World Health Day etc. Various cultural programs and discussion are held to mark the days.
